"The Edge of Seriousness" opened last night, agog with maps for finding one's way home--the poetry of paths, rays from the heart, meaning through locating. This midmorning public reception was hosted with miniature delectables from the artist's baker-friend Miss Mabeline and an introduction to the show from the artist:
This letter is, more than anything, a letter of longing for home. The visuals are a first attempt at giving that longing spatial dimensions -- they are map-translations of the letter, but the hope is that they also serve as maps showing the way home.
